I ran into an old friend and he asked me:

How's it going?

Who is in your life that's new?

What's been going on with you?

I'd tell him all the world has changed

Because of how you love me

If I could.

Like a phantom in the mist

I hear my voice out in the distance:

"Still the same old thing.

Work and partying."

It hurts me so to love you

In the shadow of my friend.

I'm scared of going on like this.

I'm scared to let it end.

I never understood that

I was such a lonely man

Till you were with me.

So I'm snatching every moment
