Journey To The Tourney

When all your Art is Science who will want to hear your song?

The long and boring tale about your short and boring journey.

The days you spent in college, the years you worked the lab,

Have built your store of knowledge but they’ve left your life quite drab.

I do not presume to say what’s right and what is wrong.

I have come to call you to the Tourney.

Journey to the Tourney. The Mighty shall prevail.

They must protect the meek, or we won’t get them out of jail.

The meek inherit all the Earth, but only six feet each.

The lovely gift of precious mirth is all we have to teach.

I do not presume to say what’s right and what is wrong.

I have come to call you to the Tourney.

I do not presume to tell you how you ought to live.

Nor has God provided words of wisdom I can give.

I have not been sent to lead you to the Promised Land.

I am no Messiah. I'm just playing with the band.

In the Heart of the Music lies the Muse. The Heart of the World beats love.

So many things that do confuse, but these you can rise above.

Look at the way we give our brothers

Help that hurts and love that smothers.

I do not presume to say what’s right and what is wrong.

I have come to call you to the Tourney.
